A City Set on A Hill
Heb. 11:8 By faith Abraham,
when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an
inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
Heb. 11:9 By faith he
sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in
tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
Heb. 11:10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
Matt. 5:13 Ye are the salt
of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be
salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be
trodden under foot of men.
Matt. 5:14 Ye are the light
of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Matt. 5:15 Neither do men
light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth
light unto all that are in the house.
Matt. 5:16 Let your light
so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father
which is in heaven.
Summary of the New Jerusalem
Revelation 21
Is. 2:2 And it shall come
to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be
established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills;
and all nations shall flow unto it.
Is. 2:3 And many people
shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the
house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk
in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD
from Jerusalem.
Is. 2:4 And he shall judge
among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their
swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not
lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more
Is. 65:17 For, behold, I
create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor
come into mind.
Is. 65:18 But be ye glad
and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a
rejoicing, and her people a joy.
Is. 65:19 And I will
rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be
no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.
Is. 65:20 There shall be no
more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days:
for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred
years old shall be accursed.
Is. 65:21 And they shall
build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the
fruit of them.
Is. 65:22 They shall not
build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the
days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the
work of their hands.
Is. 65:23 They shall not
labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the
blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.
Is. 65:24 And it shall come
to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking,
I will hear.
Is. 65:25 The wolf and the
lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and
dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all
my holy mountain, saith the LORD.

set in ouches of gold.

bind the breastplate by the rings thereof unto the rings of the ephod with a
lace of blue, that it may be above the curious girdle of the ephod, and that
the breastplate be not loosed from the ephod.

his heart, when he goeth in unto the holy place, for a memorial before the LORD
continually.

mitre it shall be.

upon Aaron’s forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy
things, which the children of Israel shall hallow in all their holy gifts; and
it shall be always upon his forehead, that they may be accepted before the
LORD.

garments of Aaron shall be his sons’ after him, to be anointed therein,
and to be consecrated in them.

they are holy; and shall put on other garments, and shall approach to those
things which are for the people.
Ezek. 44:19 And when they
go forth into the utter court, even into the utter court to the people, they

people with their garments.

to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort
all that mourn;
