LEARNING MERCY

 

Ps. 5:7   But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.

 

Matt. 5:7   Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

 

Matt. 9:13   But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

 

Ps. 13:5   But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.

 

Ps. 23:6   Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

 

Ps. 25:7   Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD.

Ps. 37:21   The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous showeth mercy, and giveth.

 

Ps. 85:10   Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

 

Ps. 86:5   For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.

 

Ps. 89:2   For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.

 

Ps. 89:14   Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.

 

Ps. 103:8   The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

 

Ps. 103:11   For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

 

Ps. 103:17   But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;

 

Exod. 25:17   And thou shalt make a mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof.   18 And thou shalt make two cherubims of gold, of beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.   19 And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: even of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof.   20 And the cherubims shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be.   21 And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.   22 And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.

 

Exod. 26:34   And thou shalt put the mercy seat upon the ark of the testimony in the most holy place.

 

Exod. 34:5   And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. :6   And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, :7   Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation. :8   And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.
