The Kingdom Fulfilled

Whether brought about by the bodily return of Christ, as I see in the Scriptures, or through the progressive work of the Spirit of God following the beginnings of the Kingdom in the first century, the ultimate end is the Overcoming Kingdom of God on the earth and the restitution of everything  (Acts 3).

Examination:

Structure - Isaiah 2

• Kings and Priests - Melchizedek Priesthood in Christ as the Ruler

-      Kings to teach and enforce righteousness

• The Body of Christ/Israel to be the princes - 2 Tim. 2:12, Ex 19, 1 Peter 2:9, Rev 5:10, 20:6 - solving the confusion - those who are a part of the Body qualify as part of Israel because they worship God, even as it was in OT times (as one born in the Land).

Purpose:

• All nations coming to Israel for a witness of God.

• Restore all things - Acts 3:21. Restore to what? Eden like environment, Relationship with God for all people.
         - Subdue the world unto God 1Cor 15:25

• Fulfill the dominion mandate, but not under our own power. In Christ alone. Not simply through a lack of Sin, but rather through the elimination of Sin.

Attributes:

• Peace - Isaiah 2

• Strict Rule - Zech 14, Isaiah 2 - Law from Zion

• People will learn righteousness - Isaish 26:

• Everyone will know the Lord - Jer 31:, Hab 2:14, Isaiah 11

• Righteousness will prevail -

Is. 2:2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

Is. 2:3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

Is. 2:4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

Mic. 4:9 Now why dost thou cry out aloud? is there no king in thee? is thy counseller perished? for pangs have taken thee as a woman in travail.

Mic. 4:10 Be in pain, and labour to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail: for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go even to Babylon; there shalt thou be delivered; there the LORD shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies.

Mic. 4:11 Now also many nations are gathered against thee, that say, Let her be defiled, and let our eye look upon Zion.

Is. 66:20 And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.
